3. Political Empowerment

He was of the firm belief that the Bahujan community could only achieve its rights if it became politically empowered.

That is why he founded the Independent Labour Party and later the Scheduled Caste Federation (SCF).

He also protected the rights of the Bahujan community in the Constitution (reservation, fundamental rights).
